Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Student Activity Assistant to join our team at the University of New Mexico-Taos campus. The successful candidate will provide support for student events, activities, and cultural programming, ensuring a positive and inclusive experience for all participants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend weekly meetings to plan and coordinate student events and activities
  • Assemble and arrange cultural engagement displays around campus
  • Prepare rooms for student events, adjusting lighting, sound volumes, and temperature as needed
  • Ensure proper use, storage, and maintenance of A/V and meeting room equipment
  • Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness in all areas of the event center
  • Provide on-site support and assistance as needed
Requirements
  • Be a degree-seeking student enrolled in 6 credit hours or more during the academic semester
  • Ability to contribute to, follow, and enforce system and procedures
  • Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility
  • Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
  • Ability to understand written and verbal communications
