Department Head Opportunity:
We are seeking a seasoned Restaurant Department Head to lead our kitchen team at Maman - Penn Quarter DC. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.

About the Role:
As Department Head, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including inventory management, staff supervision, and menu development. You will also be expected to maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety, as well as contribute to the overall success of the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee kitchen operations to ensure high-quality results.
  • Manage inventory levels and develop efficient systems for tracking and ordering supplies.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure they meet the highest standards.
  • Collaborate with the Culinary Director to develop new menu ideas and dishes.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the restaurant by identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.

Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in a senior kitchen leadership role.
  • Advanced culinary degree or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Salary and Benefits:
$70,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience, plus health insurance and paid time off.
