Job Title: IT Senior Technical Specialist

Labcorp is seeking an IT Senior Technical Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a remote-based environment in the U.S.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate preparations for the implementation of Caresphere.
  • Submit IT Central requests and assist local IT teams with network preparations, connections, and activities.
  • Provide IT support for go-live and post-go-live of Caresphere.
  • Assist with the support and maintenance of systems and applications involved with Caresphere.
  • Once trained, provide on-call support for production systems.
  • Provide validation assistance, basic training, and support post implementations and/or conversions.
  • Consult with users to identify current operating procedures and clarify program objectives.
  • Work with laboratory users and IT personnel to identify, develop, and implement workflow optimizations.

Once trained, assist with the support and maintenance of ODS, WAM, DI, and other supporting systems, and assist with future product releases, rule changes, and/or instrument changes/upgrades.

Requirements:
  • Ability to learn or already possess solid troubleshooting skills for enterprise-level production systems, including instrument interfaces, middleware platforms, and Laboratory Information Systems.
  • Knowledge of network access requirements and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to independently solve issues and determine solutions.
  • Ability to take initiative to learn a new middleware application and then train others in laboratory operations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Experience in Healthcare applications and systems.
Education, Skills, and Work Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience utilizing laboratory middleware systems.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with Hematology testing within a medium to large laboratory.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication/documentation skills.
Desired Skills and Work Experience:
  • Healthcare, mergers, and acquisition experience.
  • Hematology WAM middleware experience.
