We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Claims Specialist to join our Complex Construction Unit. This role will involve determining coverage, investigating complex claims, and negotiating settlements.
Key Responsibilities- Determine coverage and investigate complex claims
- Negotiate settlements and resolve claims
- Manage relationships with business partners, including Underwriting and Reinsurance
- Stay up-to-date with existing and proposed legislation, court decisions, and trends related to specialty coverage issues
- Participate in special projects and analyze the impact on claims policies and procedures
- Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of claims adjusting experience
- Commercial Auto and General Liability claims experience preferred
- Experience with heavily litigated claims and claims over $500,000 strongly desired
- Advanced knowledge of Commercial Casualty claims investigation, coverage evaluation, reserving, and expense management
- Intermediate to advanced level of skill in customer focus, problem-solving, communications, and teamwork
