Position Summary:
The Lead Accounts Receivable Analyst plays a pivotal role in guiding and mentoring junior team members. As a senior figure within the department, this position is responsible for addressing complex issues, collaborating with various teams, and providing recommendations for process enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate cross-training among team members to ensure comprehensive knowledge and efficient processing of essential tasks.
  • Monitor incoming inquiries and provide timely responses to uphold exceptional customer service standards.
  • Serve as a mentor and trainer for less experienced colleagues.
  • Engage in the cash application process and manage customer payment processing.
  • Oversee order release and approval for transactions on credit hold.
  • Assist in conducting credit assessments and managing hold releases in alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Coordinate customer credit modifications with the Credit Manager.
  • Communicate with the Accounts Receivable Supervisor regarding ambiguous payments and short payments.
  • Research and propose initial credit limits.
  • Analyze and inform relevant stakeholders about potential credit risks.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve disputes effectively.
  • Investigate credits and relay information to customers through the Accounts Receivable Supervisor.
  • Recommend and communicate bad debt write-off approvals to management.
  • Maintain precise records of customer payment statuses and ensure accuracy in customer accounts and master data.
  • Keep accurate Accounts Receivable and sales tax records.
  • Engage with Sales and Accounts Receivable Supervisor regarding outstanding accounts.
  • Work with the collections team to minimize bad debt write-offs through timely collection efforts.
  • Ensure that company objectives for Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) are achieved through effective customer account management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including Accounts Receivable reporting.

Qualifications:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, with strong data entry and retrieval skills.
  • Familiarity with standard accounts receivable policies and practices.
  • Strong analytical skills to manage complex information.
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Effective problem-solving skills to address issues promptly and develop alternative solutions.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to manage challenging situations and respond to customer needs.
  • Professional demeanor, treating all individuals with respect and maintaining composure under pressure.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy in work.

Education and Experience:
  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance preferred, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with credit assessment procedures and tools.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for extended periods.
