Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Phlebotomy and Customer Service Specialist to join our team at Lancaster General Health. As a key member of our outpatient laboratory team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection in an ambulatory setting, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of patient samples.
  • Verify patient identity and maintain accurate records, adhering to clinical protocols and regulatory standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and coordination of services.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of educational requirements and training in phlebotomy and customer service.
  • CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • One year of clerical, customer service, or administrative support experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Basic keyboarding and computer skills, with ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous phlebotomy or registration experience; training will be provided upon hire.
  • Epic (or equivalent Electronic Medical Record) experience.
