Position Title: Lead Survey Technician

Position Overview:

We are seeking a committed and industrious professional to become a vital part of our survey team. This role requires daily collaboration with field supervisors, project leads, and other administrative personnel. You will oversee all members of the survey team and may operate independently as a sole technician when necessary. Responsibilities include the daily management of data collection devices, ensuring the charging of survey instruments, and enhancing your expertise with cutting-edge technology and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Party Chief in transporting survey equipment and materials to various job locations.
  • Clear any obstructions that may hinder visibility during surveys.
  • Gather and record survey data accurately.

Essential Skills:

Hard Skills:

  • At least 7 years of experience managing a survey team utilizing robotic total stations and GPS technology.
  • Expertise in using Trimble or comparable surveying tools (GPS, Robotics, Total Stations, Levels, and Data Collectors).
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience with Totalstation and Microstation is advantageous.

Soft Skills:

  • Desire to learn and adhere to instructions.
  • Strong emphasis on data integrity.
  • Ability to perform fundamental mathematical computations.
  • Consistently punctual and dependable.

Employment Type:

This is a Contract-to-Hire opportunity.

Work Environment:

This position requires outdoor work in varying weather conditions. You will be compensated for 40 hours per week, including time spent in the office during inclement weather to assist with tasks and enhance your CAD skills.
