Position Overview

CV, Inc. is currently looking for qualified candidates for the role of Field Survey Supervisor. This position will oversee and guide a team of survey professionals in various surveying operations. The role may involve working independently or as part of a larger team.

Key Responsibilities:

The Field Survey Supervisor will engage in a variety of surveying tasks, including:

  • Boundary and right-of-way surveys
  • Easement and topographic surveys
  • Construction and subsurface utility location
  • As-built surveys
  • Global Positioning System (GPS) and Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping support

This role requires adaptability to different environmental conditions and terrains.

Supervision will be provided by an office manager who will assign tasks and ensure compliance with client specifications and established surveying standards.


Responsibilities Include:
  • Leading a survey field crew in various surveying tasks
  • Training and mentoring team members
  • Managing client and public relations
  • Performing mathematical calculations
  • Ensuring team safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness
  • Overseeing timely completion of assignments
  • Operating Trimble Robotic Total Station and Data Collectors
  • Utilizing GPS survey equipment
  • Conducting Differential Levels
  • Handling Lidar Scanners and magnetic detectors
  • Transporting surveying equipment and supplies
  • Maintaining and inspecting surveying instruments
  • Keeping detailed field notes, sketches, and reports
  • Clearing sight lines through vegetation
  • Documenting property corners and survey control points
  • Setting up work zone signs and controls
  • Driving a survey vehicle
  • Recording survey data accurately
