Job Overview:

Forward Air is on the lookout for an OTM Operations Manager to spearhead our logistics team and drive operational excellence. This pivotal role involves overseeing the deployment, maintenance, and enhancement of our Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) system. The OTM Operations Manager will lead a dedicated team responsible for configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing OTM to ensure seamless transportation operations and exceptional service delivery to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the deployment and integration of Oracle Transportation Management throughout our logistics operations.
  • Ensure the successful rollout of OTM modules while adhering to project timelines and budgetary guidelines.
  • Collaborate with IT and logistics teams to tailor OTM functionalities to meet specific business requirements.
  • Manage a team of OTM specialists, providing mentorship and support to foster high performance and professional development.
  • Encourage a collaborative and innovative work environment that promotes continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance OTM performance, streamline processes, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Monitor system performance metrics and proactively address issues to minimize disruptions and downtime.
  • Act as the primary liaison for Oracle and other technology vendors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Engage with key stakeholders across departments to understand business needs and translate them into OTM solutions.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in transportation management.
  • Drive initiatives to innovate and enhance OTM capabilities to maintain a competitive edge and support business growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience managing Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) in a logistics or supply chain setting.
  • Strong technical expertise in OTM configuration, customization, and integration.
  • Experience leading teams and managing projects in a cross-functional environment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to collaborate effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Specialist) are preferred.
