About the Role:

WEG Electric Corp. is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) Manager to join our team in a manufacturing setting. The primary function of this role is to ensure the effective implementation of environmental, health, and safety initiatives to support operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain EH&S policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Implement and maintain a safety culture among employees by providing training, guidance, and feedback.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of safety training programs for all EH&S topics.
  • Manage third-party safety consultant contracts to ensure maximum service resources.
  • Support site leaders in addressing OSHA and environmental organization inquiries.
  • Maintain the EH&S schedule for all sites, including fire and shelter-in-place drills, workplace violence, and first aid training.
  • Conduct safety-related portions of new employee orientation.
  • Oversee the maintenance of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) files.
  • Manage site air permit, water, storm water, and waste programs, including required inspections, monitoring, and compliance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Environmental, Health and Safety or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in safety, health, or ergonomics in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite required.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and relevant industry standards required.
  • Certificate in occupational health and safety required.
  • Knowledge of Spanish and/or Portuguese a plus.
