The Safety and Security Specialist is tasked with overseeing the safety protocols at the Center for Alcohol and Drug Treatment, ensuring a secure environment for both patients and staff. This role involves managing access to the facility, addressing potential disturbances, and maintaining a vigilant presence throughout the premises.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility, including parking areas and adjacent surroundings, to assess security measures and identify any potential risks.
- Engage with individuals who may not have authorization to be on-site, providing guidance or contacting appropriate personnel as necessary.
- Monitor vehicles in the parking areas to confirm their legitimacy and compliance with facility regulations.
- Evaluate exterior lighting and emergency access points, assisting individuals requiring support for safety or mobility concerns.
- Provide escort services for patients and staff as needed to ensure their safety.
- Document incidents and observations accurately and promptly.
- Respond to requests for security presence from healthcare staff or support teams.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by management.
Qualifications
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively.
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
- CPR and First Aid certification required prior to training.
