Overview

Oversee the safe and efficient functioning of the manufacturing facility. Strategically coordinate, plan, and manage Maintenance, Capital Projects, Industrial Engineering, and Process Engineering initiatives to safeguard and enhance all physical assets and operational processes. Lead a team of maintenance engineers, supervisors, technicians, electricians, and process engineers. Ensure that the mechanical systems of the facility operate at optimal production efficiency. Foster teamwork to devise innovative solutions that align with ME Elecmetal's objectives in identifying and executing process enhancements, capital improvement initiatives, subcontractor utilization, and compliance with environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Direct safety and health initiatives by planning, organizing, and controlling activities to achieve safety objectives and maintain a healthy work environment.

Ensure the preservation and enhancement of the facility's mechanical systems and their components by overseeing all maintenance projects.

Provide expertise in troubleshooting and identifying potential issues with existing systems, operations, and equipment.

Implement technical strategies and tactics focused on engineering projects, maintenance, and facility improvement programs that enhance operational performance, including optimizing labor efficiencies within the operating budget.

Develop and manage the maintenance budget to control costs related to direct labor, materials, supplies, and equipment.

Formulate and execute Capital Improvement Plans.

Collaborate with other managers and executives in long-term planning and overall management of the facility in alignment with corporate directives. Consult with peers on quality standards, production control, workplace safety, and human resource matters.

Work in partnership with corporate engineering teams to ensure compliance with all environmental regulations.

Select, develop, and inspire direct reports to effectively fulfill their roles with an emphasis on workplace safety, product quality, productivity, cost efficiency, and departmental objectives. Ensure comprehensive training for assigned personnel to meet established standards and facilitate management succession.

Guarantee that all direct reports adhere to the terms of the labor agreement to promote the efficient and profitable operation of the organization. Engage in labor relations activities, including contract negotiations, grievance handling, and disciplinary actions.

Organize and supervise the activities of hourly Maintenance Technicians.

Maintain compliance with ISO standards, including but not limited to the Quality and Environmental Policy Statements and the Quality and Environmental Procedures Manual.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) is required, along with 5-8 years of engineering, maintenance, and supervisory experience in a manufacturing context.

Proven experience in maintenance management.

Demonstrated success in capital improvement projects.

Strong oral and written communication abilities.

Proficient in computer applications.
