About the Role:

The Office Manager is a critical member of our team at The Jewish Board of Children and Family Services, providing senior clerical support and supervising the work of other clerical staff members. This role requires a high level of organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and direct the work of clerical staff members, providing training and guidance as needed.
  • Perform regular evaluations and recommend promotions or changes of assignments.
  • Oversee fee processing and ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures.
  • Conduct periodic audits of data entry to ensure accuracy and adherence to procedures.
  • Provide secretarial support to senior management staff, including confidential matters.
  • Monitor and manage petty cash, verify attendance sheets, and submit status forms and pay documents in a timely manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with OSHA and other safety regulations, ensuring compliance and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Order supplies and perform other administrative tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Some college education required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of related work experience, including supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of PC-based office automation products, especially Word and Excel.
