RESPONSIBILITIES

Weatherford is seeking a Geoscience Specialist.

QUALITY

OPERATIONS
  • Deliver timely and precise log processing and interpretation using data acquired from various logging instruments, presenting results to client representatives.
  • Conduct interpretations, including Formation Testing analysis, microfrac/DFIT analysis, Pressure/Transient analysis, advanced petrophysical analysis, well integrity analysis, and production log analysis.
  • Generate log plots and transfer data to alternative formats and storage media utilizing the data acquisition system.
  • May provide guidance to junior personnel.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to ensure projects are completed accurately and promptly.
  • May require processing/interpretation outside regular business hours to meet client turnaround requirements.
  • Rely on experience and judgment to plan and achieve objectives.
QUALIFICATION

Experience & Education

REQUIRED
  • Degree in Petroleum Engineering.
  • Over 5 years of relevant experience.
PREFERRED
  • Ph.D. in Reservoir Engineering/Petroleum Engineering.
  • Experience in production optimization.
  • Background in formation evaluation.
  • Familiarity with operator experience.
  • Knowledge of petrotechnical applications such as PETEX IPM, Ecrin (Topaz, Saphir), OFM, PEEP.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

REQUIRED
  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or Reservoir Engineering.
  • Familiarity with petrotechnical applications such as Techlog, Eclipse, Petrel.
  • Proficient in various business productivity and infrastructure solutions, including Microsoft Windows, UNIX, data networks, and audio-visual systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to communicate effectively with non-technical personnel.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing project requirements and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge in formation evaluation, well production and monitoring, well integrity, well completion, and well testing.
  • Results-oriented mindset.
