About the Role

Hilcorp is seeking a highly skilled Reservoir Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in identifying, prioritizing, and executing oil and gas development and exploitation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute economic oil and gas investment opportunities by evaluating reservoir, production, and geologic data.
  • Work closely with other team members to identify and quantify oil and gas targets, construct plans of depletion, and predict potential for additional recovery.
  • Research field and well histories, produce well bore schematics, and analyze cased hole and open hole well logs.
  • Perform Nodal Analysis, compile relevant oil and gas field data, and evaluate economics and profitability of potential projects.
  • Collaborate with geologists and operations engineers to mature rate and reserve add projects to an executable status.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 4 years of reservoir engineering experience and a proven ability to generate investment opportunities.
  • Working knowledge of the roles and job responsibilities of operations engineers, geologists, geophysicists, landmen, and other company professionals.
  • Ability to conduct detailed reservoir evaluations and studies, integrate geological data into reservoir engineering calculations, and accurately solve problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into an organized and presentable manner.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, economic analysis software, Nodal analysis software, and public data retrieval tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency with geologic mapping tools, rate transient analysis software, computer simulation software, well log evaluation software, risk assessment software, and data visualization tools.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year university with a degree in engineering.
