Title: Executive Director, Not-For-Profit

Location: Cumming/Forsyth County, GA

Salary: $80,000 - $89,000 (commensurate with experience)


Are you an inspiring leader dedicated to enhancing community welfare and nonprofit effectiveness? The Talmadge Group, Inc. is collaborating with the United Way of Forsyth County to identify an Executive Director (ED) who will serve as the principal professional officer, reporting directly to the President and Board of Directors.


This pivotal role encompasses the development and execution of a holistic campaign strategy aimed at reaching our fundraising target, which supports numerous local organizations and initiatives that foster positive change. As the new ED, you will position United Way as a prominent advocate for human services, advance the organization's mission, and elevate our presence through strategic community involvement.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Fundraising Initiatives: Create, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive campaign strategy designed to meet our $1,400,000 fundraising objective, benefiting nearly 50 local organizations and initiatives focused on transforming lives.
  • Community Advocacy: Establish United Way as a leading advocate for enhanced human services by participating in committees and associations addressing critical social issues at various levels. Foster a positive image of the organization to garner community support for our mission.
  • Leadership and Governance: Implement the strategic directives of the Board of Directors by managing essential organizational documentation. Provide insights on nonprofit sector trends, serving as the primary advisor to board committees. Oversee financial management and reporting, facilitate the onboarding of new board members, and ensure alignment with United Way Worldwide standards.
  • Administrative, Financial & Human Resources: Lead all business operations (HR, Finance, Accounting, Operations) to drive campaign growth while ensuring compliance with United Way Worldwide standards. Establish and manage budgets, ensuring adherence to board directives and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Marketing and Public Relations: Develop and execute marketing and public relations strategies that convey a positive image across various media platforms. The annual marketing plan will encompass all programs and events while maintaining our brand integrity across digital and print channels.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in human services or marketing.
  • Experience in fundraising, communications, public relations, and nonprofit management is preferred.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of fundraising or sales experience is desirable.
  • Strong customer focus and the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with volunteers and staff.
  • Exceptional presentation skills and the capacity to connect with various audiences.
  • Excellent organizational skills, creativity, enthusiasm, and initiative.
