Are you an inspiring leader with a commitment to community service and nonprofit leadership? The Talmadge Group is on the lookout for a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to act as the principal professional officer responsible to the Board of Directors.


This pivotal role encompasses the development and execution of a comprehensive strategy to meet our fundraising objectives, supporting numerous local organizations and initiatives that make a significant impact.

As our new CEO, you will establish the organization as a prominent advocate for human services, advance our mission, and increase our visibility through strategic community involvement.

You will serve as the primary consultant to the Board, overseeing financial management, guiding policy implementation, and facilitating board development.

Furthermore, you will spearhead marketing and public relations initiatives, ensuring a unified and positive public image across all communication channels.


Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Board Relations:

Implement the strategic directives of the Board of Directors by overseeing the creation and maintenance of essential organizational documents.

Provide in-depth insights on trends within the nonprofit sector, acting as the main advisor to board committees.

Manage financial oversight and reporting, assist in the orientation and development of new board members, and ensure regular self-evaluations align with industry standards.

Support the board in defining and achieving organizational objectives while ensuring meticulous electronic documentation and archiving of board and committee activities.


Community Advocacy:

Position the organization as a champion for enhanced human services through active participation in committees, task forces, and associations addressing critical social issues at various levels.

Foster a positive image of the organization to cultivate community support for our mission and elevate our visibility and engagement throughout the community.


Fundraising Strategy:
Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate a comprehensive fundraising strategy to achieve our financial goals. These resources will support numerous local organizations, programs, and initiatives aimed at transforming lives.

Marketing and Public Relations:
Implement marketing and public relations strategies that convey a positive image across diverse media platforms.

The annual marketing strategy will promote all programs and events while maintaining our brand integrity across all print and digital channels.

A successful strategy will include website enhancements, relevant social media content, newsletters, and press releases.

A cohesive and effective public presence will be achieved through refreshing content and utilizing analytics to uncover trends and insights that will inform marketing strategies.


Administrative, Financial, and Human Resources:

Provide executive leadership and direction for all business functions (HR, Finance, Accounting, Operations) to drive growth while ensuring compliance with industry standards and membership requirements.

Ensure budgets are established and adhered to, distributions are made per board directives, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) are followed.


Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in human services or marketing field.

Experience in fundraising, communications, public relations, nonprofits, and the business community is desirable.

Minimum of five (5) years' experience in fundraising or sales preferred.

Strong customer focus in all tasks and activities; ability to relate well with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Ability to collaborate effectively with volunteers and staff.

Must possess excellent presentation skills and the ability to engage with audiences.

Outstanding organizational skills; enthusiastic, creative, and proactive.
