  • Community Engagement: Position the United Way as an advocate for improved human services through participation in committees, task forces, and associations addressing significant social issues.
  • Executive Leadership/Board of Directors: Execute strategic policies and directives, providing comprehensive insights on trends in the nonprofit sector, and overseeing financial management and reporting.
  • Admin, Finance & HR: Provide executive leadership and direction for all business activities, ensuring compliance with United Way Worldwide standards and membership requirements.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in human services or marketing.
  • Experience in fundraising, communications, public relations, nonprofits, and the business community is desirable.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' fundraising or sales experience preferred.
  • Strong customer focus, ability to relate well with people from diverse groups.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with volunteers and fellow staff.
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to connect with the audience.
  • Excellent organizational ability, enthusiastic, creative, and takes initiative.
