Role Summary: The Engineering Department plays a crucial role in supporting both Pre-Construction and Field Operations. The GNSS Field Engineer will be stationed at project sites and will be responsible for enhancing operational efficiency through the following tasks:


Key Responsibilities:

  • Master the operation of Trimble survey instruments, including GPS Rover (SCS900 & Siteworks), Robotic Total Station, and Laser level.
  • Conduct various project surveys such as preconstruction topographic surveys, post-construction as-built surveys, quality control checks, and interim construction surveys.
  • Execute project layout tasks including staking for erosion control, clearing limits, and utilities, ensuring clarity and precision in all markings.
  • Assist project supervisors in managing crew operations effectively.
  • Collaborate with other trades by providing topographic and layout support as needed.
  • Support the Lead Surveyor in drone operations, including setting and maintaining ground targets for aerial surveys.
  • Familiarize yourself with GPS machine control systems (GCS900 and Earthworks) to offer initial support to operators.
  • Proactively seek knowledge on the capabilities of our software and equipment, taking initiative in your learning process.
  • Strive to become proficient in using Siteworks, SCS900, Laser levels, Robotic Total Stations, and aerial drone survey instruments.
  • Identify and implement new technologies that can enhance our operational processes.
  • Stay informed about advancements in technology that could improve safety, quality, or efficiency within the company.

Experience Requirements:

  • 0 to 1 year of relevant experience is preferred.
  • General survey experience is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Trimble SCS900/Siteworks is a plus.
  • Experience with Trimble Business Center and Civil 3D is beneficial.

Educational Background:

  • We welcome candidates with the following qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management.
    • Associate degree in civil engineering technology or surveying technology.
