Position Overview
The role of Regional Reliability and Maintenance Engineer is critical and requires a candidate with over 5 years of experience in Maintenance, Reliability, or Engineering within a Process Safety Management (PSM) regulated chemical facility.
Key Responsibilities
As a Regional Reliability and Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Enhancing the performance of the company's physical assets while managing maintenance labor and material costs to meet plant performance objectives.
- Driving improvements in maintenance and reliability processes through the use of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Overseeing all site maintenance activities, including routine maintenance and turnarounds, as well as reliability projects.
- Ensuring compliance with all PSM, OSHA, and environmental regulations.
- Collaborating extensively with plant union employees, leadership teams, engineering departments, corporate functions, external support, and contractors.
- Developing and executing the annual strategic objectives and budget for the maintenance department to align with plant directives.
- Managing costs associated with maintenance, including labor, parts, and equipment, while ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Maintaining the integrity and upkeep of all plant assets, which includes production equipment, facilities, utility equipment, and grounds.
- Coordinating with engineering or construction teams on various projects to ensure compliance with specifications and code requirements.
- Implementing a spare parts inventory program to maintain appropriate stock levels of maintenance supplies.
- Preparing reports, project proposals, and cost analyses for machinery repairs or replacements as needed.
- Reviewing and optimizing maintenance strategies for process equipment, including preventive and predictive maintenance approaches.
- Conducting root cause analyses for significant equipment failures and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Analyzing data from the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to enhance equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
- Providing technical guidance on capital projects to ensure reliability and maintainability of new assets.
Desired Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will possess a passion for their work and a reputation as a top performer within their organization. Key qualifications include:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Maintenance, Reliability, or Engineering in a PSM regulated chemical facility.
- Ability to foster strategic relationships with key stakeholders to enhance collaboration and achieve results.
- Experience with PSM systems and hazardous processes, including OSHA, CMMS, RCA, PM, and Maintenance Work Processes.
- Proficiency in using CMMS and ERP software.
