GNSS Survey Engineer

The role of a GNSS Field Engineer is pivotal in the operations of Edgerton, a leading company in earthmoving and underground utility services. Our commitment to excellence is reflected in our innovative approaches and the expertise of our team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Master the use of Trimble survey instruments, including GPS Rover (SCS900 & Siteworks), Robotic Total Station, and Laser level.
- Conduct various project surveys such as preconstruction topographic surveys, post-construction as-built surveys, quality control checks, and interim construction surveys.
- Execute project layout tasks including staking for erosion control, clearing limits, and utilities, ensuring precision and clarity in all placements.
- Support project supervisors to enhance crew management and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with other trades by providing topographic and layout assistance as needed.
- Assist the Lead Surveyor with drone operations, including setting and maintaining ground targets for aerial surveys.
- Familiarize yourself with GPS machine control systems (GCS900 and Earthworks) to offer initial support to operators.
- Take initiative in self-education regarding our software and equipment capabilities.
- Strive to become proficient in Siteworks, SCS900, Laser levels, Robotic Total Stations, and aerial drone survey instruments.
- Seek opportunities to integrate new technologies into our processes to enhance efficiency and safety.

Experience and Education:
- Preferred experience of 0 to 1 years in a related field.
- General survey experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Trimble SCS900/Siteworks and Trimble Business Center is a plus.
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management, or an Associate degree in civil engineering technology or survey technology is required.
