Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Construction Project Specialist to join our dynamic team at a major construction site. This role offers a vibrant and collaborative environment, working closely with various stakeholders including contractors, architects, and engineers.

You will be stationed at a central facility where all project participants converge, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop electronic site models for project estimation, planning, and construction layout using Trimble Business Center (TBC).
  • Support preconstruction efforts by generating accurate material quantities from 3D models.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA excavation standards through detailed 3D modeling.
  • Assist project teams by creating precise construction models that align with project specifications.
  • Facilitate communication of design details to engineers and field teams for efficient construction execution.
  • Collaborate proactively with team members to resolve inconsistencies and enhance constructability.
  • Direct field surveyors in conducting surveys and maintaining accurate as-built records.
  • Develop alternative designs to improve project quality and simplify construction processes.
  • Create user-friendly plan sheets to convey complex details effectively.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Conduct topographic surveys and establish site control for GPS calibrations.
  • Perform construction staking and minor troubleshooting of GPS systems.
  • Assist in the production of plans for design-build projects.
  • Create realistic 3D renderings for various project aspects using relevant software.
  • Pursue continuous improvement in CAD software proficiency, particularly in Trimble Business Center and Civil 3D.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, essential for conveying technical information clearly.

Experience and Education:

  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Trimble Business Center and Civil 3D is advantageous.
  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management is required, with an Associate's degree in CAD or Construction Management being a plus.
