The role of Regional Reliability and Maintenance Engineer is critical, requiring a professional with over 5 years of experience in Maintenance, Reliability, or Engineering within a Process Safety Management (PSM) regulated chemical facility.

Key Responsibilities
As a Regional Reliability and Maintenance Engineer, you will:

  • Enhance and sustain the performance of the company’s physical assets while monitoring maintenance labor and material expenditures to achieve operational goals.
  • Drive improvements in maintenance and reliability performance through the use of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Oversee all site maintenance activities, including routine tasks and turnaround projects, ensuring compliance with PSM, OSHA, and environmental regulations.
  • Engage with plant union employees, leadership teams, engineering departments, corporate functional leadership, external support, and contractors to foster collaboration.
  • Develop and execute the annual strategic objectives and budget for the maintenance division, ensuring alignment with plant directives and monitoring performance against goals.
  • Manage maintenance costs, including labor, parts, and equipment, while ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Oversee the integrity and upkeep of all plant assets, including production machinery, facilities, utility systems, and grounds.
  • Collaborate with engineering or construction teams on projects to ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement a spare parts inventory program to maintain optimal stock levels of maintenance supplies.
  • Prepare detailed reports, project proposals, and cost analyses for machinery repairs or replacements as required.
  • Review and optimize maintenance strategies for process equipment, including inspection and preventive measures.
  • Conduct root cause analyses for significant equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Analyze data from the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to enhance equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Provide input on capital projects regarding reliability and maintainability of new assets.
  • Ensure that project-related changes in equipment strategies are accurately reflected in the CMMS database.
  • Offer technical expertise for PSM and mechanical integrity initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for the role of Regional Reliability and Maintenance Engineer and be recognized as a top performer within their organization. Candidates should have extensive experience in:

  • Building strategic relationships with key stakeholders to enhance collaboration and achieve results.
  • Working with PSM systems and hazardous processes, including OSHA, CMMS, RCA, PM, and Maintenance Work Processes.
  • Utilizing CMMS and ERP software effectively.
