About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Construction Project Coordinator to join our team at HITT Contracting, Inc. As a key member of our preconstruction team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organizational Skills
    • Establish and maintain a well-organized jobsite office
    • Set up and maintain accurate records, including project directories, subcontractor directories, submittal logs, RFI logs, and subcontractor correspondence
    • Manage and maintain all onsite construction documents, including plans, specifications, shop drawings, as-built drawings, and associated revisions
    • Prepare and submit daily reports as directed
  • Site Operations Skills
    • Install and maintain proper site signage and postings
    • Identify and address safety concerns prior to demolition
    • Direct the installation of building and site protection
    • Assist in partition and ceiling layout
    • Participate in site inspections to ensure quality and workmanship meet HITT's expectations
  • Project Planning and Safety Skills
    • Update the project schedule as directed
    • Assist in the inspection process and execute inspections within your project's jurisdiction
    • Implement and apply HITT's corporate safety program on the jobsite
    • Conduct weekly safety meetings and toolbox talks as directed
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma required; military experience or a four-year degree from an accredited university in construction, engineering, or business preferred
    • Previous experience on commercial job sites strongly preferred
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Passion for construction and our industry; ability to recognize and seek quality
    • Ability to learn sector/project-specific software systems, including Microsoft Office suite and ProCore
    • Ability to walk and/or stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50lbs
    • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
    • Ability to demonstrate integrity consistently with The HITT Way and HITT's core values
