Position Overview:
Imperial Dade, a premier distributor in North America, is seeking a dedicated field service technician to join our team. This role involves collaborating with our sales team to install chemical dispensing systems. Following the establishment of a sale, our technicians are responsible for the installation of necessary equipment and ongoing customer support. While training will be provided, prior mechanical experience is advantageous. Imperial Dade stands as the foremost independently owned distributor of foodservice packaging and janitorial supplies across North America. We deliver tailored supply chain solutions to various business sectors, including restaurants, grocery stores, healthcare, sports and entertainment, and cruise lines.
Responsibilities:

Your Duties Will Include:
- Clocking in and out with the Chemical Manager at the beginning and end of each workday.
- Responding to emergency service calls within a 30-minute timeframe.
- Maintaining a clean and organized service vehicle, including inventory management for tools and parts.
- Completing and submitting all service reports, ensuring copies are provided to Sales Associates and the Chemical Manager.
- Preparing and submitting a weekly summary of accounts serviced and other activities, along with a weekly work plan.
- Following the daily/monthly route schedule as outlined in the monthly plan.
- Updating route documentation regularly.
- Planning and executing preventative maintenance visits based on geographic proximity.
- Traveling to existing accounts to perform maintenance on provided equipment.
- Utilizing a tablet to log service activities at each account visited.
- Conducting inventory checks of chemicals at each customer location.
- Ensuring all tools, equipment, and repair parts are maintained in optimal condition.
- Making a minimum of eight service calls daily.

Service Call Expectations:
In addition to your scheduled route, you will be expected to handle emergency service calls.

- Respond to these calls within 30 minutes and arrange a time for service.

- Be available for weekend emergency service calls as needed, with a schedule established among technicians.

Physical Demands of the Job:

- 60-70%: Engaging in maintenance, service, and repairs of dish machines, dispensers, and chemical management systems, which may involve bending, squatting, kneeling, lifting, and climbing.

- 30%: Driving to and from job sites.
- 10%: Handling service calls and completing reports on a tablet.

Qualifications:
You should possess:
- A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in servicing the food service and hospitality sectors.
- At least 1 year of electrical experience.
- A minimum of 1 year of plumbing experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience with various commercial dishwashers and dispensing equipment, including installations.
- A clear driving record for the past 2 years.
- A high standard of workmanship and professionalism.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- An understanding of the operational principles of dish machines and laundry equipment.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including email and other software.
