About the Role:
The Automotive Service Technician position is available in both full-time and part-time capacities, offering an hourly wage that aligns with the operational needs of our business. The primary responsibility of the Technician is to conduct thorough vehicle diagnostics and execute routine maintenance and repair services, adhering to both company standards and manufacturer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics to accurately identify necessary repairs.
- Execute Tire Choice's Courtesy Inspection process on every vehicle, ensuring all additional services and repairs are documented and communicated effectively.
- Assist in managing inventory, including the pulling of tires and parts, as well as unloading and stocking supplies.
- Maintain the store's cleanliness and organization, ensuring it meets Tire Choice standards.
- Conduct all services in compliance with safety protocols, including proper wheel torque and oil safety procedures.
- Test drive vehicles in accordance with established policies, adhering to local traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Understand and comply with company policies, governmental standards, and safety regulations.
- Stay updated with technical knowledge through the completion of required training modules.
- Safely operate and maintain all shop equipment, following manufacturer guidelines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of automotive training or equivalent experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.
- ASE certification and State Inspection license preferred, where applicable.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Required to own a basic set of tools or participate in the tool purchase program.
Work Environment:
This position operates within an automotive shop environment, which may involve exposure to moderate noise levels, various weather conditions, and other elements typical of a service center.
Physical Requirements:
Technicians must be capable of performing the following:
- Working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Lifting and carrying items up to 75 lbs without assistance.
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, squatting, and reaching.
