About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Cashier at Sprouts Farmers Market. As a Cashier, you will be the face of our company, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit, and debit payments.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, adhering to company standards and procedures.
  • Assist with stocking shelves, facing, and dusting as needed, ensuring a well-stocked and visually appealing store environment.
  • Stay up-to-date on weekly ad items, product locations, and upcoming events, providing customers with accurate information and recommendations.
  • Communicate effectively with front-end managers and colleagues, ensuring seamless operations and a positive team environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience preferred.
  • Outgoing and friendly demeanor, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to operate front-end equipment, including registers, calculators, and scanners.
  • Dependable and reliable, with a flexible schedule that adapts to business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong attention to detail, with proficiency in cash handling and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry products weighing up to 30 pounds, for distances up to 3 feet, for up to 50 hours without mechanical assistance.
  • Ability to use both hands to move grocery carts horizontally, requiring a force up to 35 pounds, for distances up to 4 feet, for up to 50 hours.
