Flexibility in personal selling techniques is essential to contribute to overall store success. They demonstrate friendly, confident, and genuine service skills, discussing product features and suggesting complementary items tailored to customer needs.

They manage multiple customer interactions simultaneously, ensuring follow-ups are conducted with sincerity to facilitate sales closure. Continuous development of product knowledge and awareness of current collections is crucial, as is understanding competitive dynamics to enhance sales and customer relationships.

Work Environment and Team Collaboration

Creating a positive and enthusiastic atmosphere is vital. Sales Associates foster teamwork, trust, and collaboration with peers, customers, and supervisors. They exhibit confidence in customer interactions and take initiative, demonstrating accountability for their results.

Feedback is welcomed and adapted to improve performance. Representing Tapestry as a brand ambassador, they maintain professionalism and composure at all times, creating both short and long-term strategies to achieve personal performance metrics.

Operational Responsibilities

Sales Associates complete daily operational tasks, including maintaining the sales floor and backroom, managing cash wrap, and ensuring visual merchandising meets brand standards consistently and promptly.

Adherence to retail policies and procedures, including POS, Operations, and Loss Prevention, is mandatory. They leverage company tools and technology to enhance relationship building and clienteling efforts, driving sales and achieving personal objectives.

Inventory replenishment and processing shipments are also part of their responsibilities.

Qualifications

Experience: 1-3 years of prior experience in a luxury retail environment is preferred, along with a solid understanding of fashion trends and competitive landscape.

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a college degree is preferred.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in cash register systems and basic computer skills, including the ability to use mobile devices and the internet.

Physical Requirements: Effective communication skills and mobility to navigate the sales floor and stockroom are essential. Ability to reach, bend, and lift products as necessary to support customer service and visual merchandising duties.

Schedule Flexibility: Availability to work a flexible schedule is necessary to meet business needs, including evenings, weekends, and peak retail periods.
