IT Technical Support Specialist

The PositionThe IT Technical Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the local network, hardware, workstations, fax machines, printers, and copiers, as well as the web page, telephone system, back-up, imaging, and provider Dictaphone support systems.
Key Responsibilities- Provide in-depth knowledge and technical expertise in the areas of installation, maintenance, and support of multiple operating systems and technologies.
- Conduct network troubleshooting to segregate, identify, and resolve general network problems.
- Respond to all Help Desk Requests in a timely manner and follow through to resolution.
- Maintain all local software and hardware licensing to ensure conformance.
- Maintain servers, schedule upgrades, security, system backups, and assist in disaster recovery preparation.
- Assist in implementation and planning of deletions, additions, and major changes to support local and regional infrastructure.
- Maintain and secure passwords, file system security, and data integrity for the desktop environment.
- Maintain all related IT inventory, such as hardware, software, other IT supplies, and maintain inventory controls on disbursement and collection of equipment.
- Ability to travel up to 50% between upstate practice locations.
- Associates Degree in Information Technology or a related IT degree.
- Five (5) years of experience in information technology.
- In-depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks.
- Up-to-date knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles.
- Ability to exercise judgment in prioritizing work, responding to customer needs, and in determining when an inquiry requires higher-level involvement.
