Position Overview:
The Event Operations Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the entire banquet operation to guarantee flawless execution and ensure guest satisfaction.

This role offers an hourly wage of $16.50 plus tips.

Benefits for part-time roles include a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions.

Key Responsibilities:
Reviews assigned banquet staff roles and banquet menus prior to the scheduled event.


Conducts pre-event meetings with staff to ensure adherence to appearance and hygiene standards; assigns roles and partners; and reviews banquet event orders.


Communicates with the Catering and Concession manager/Banquet Team Lead to ensure all details are planned and executed effectively.

Ensures timely communication of changes and further instructions.

Ensures that adequate quantities of china, glassware, silverware, linens, and other necessary items are available for upcoming events. Secures requisitions for items not in inventory.


Checks room setup prior to the event and collaborates with the Catering and Concession manager to confirm food item quantities and timing for food service.

Ensures proper handling and storage of all equipment (i.e., china, glassware, silverware, linens, and props) after use.

Conducts random audits during events to assess food quality and service standards.

Ensures that:

food is served at the correct temperature; food is presented appropriately on the table; sufficient food is available; and upselling opportunities are maximized.

Regularly reviews the banquet schedule for updates, calendar events, and special occasions.

Incorporates safe work practices into job performance.

Maintains regular and reliable attendance.

Performs additional duties as required.

Qualifications:


High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and speak English may be necessary to perform job duties (e.g., associates may need to communicate with English-speaking customers or coworkers, and manuals for equipment may be in English).

Must meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
