About the Role:

We are currently seeking an Executive Protection Specialist to join our team embedded with our client in Santa Clara, CA. This position allows for hybrid work arrangements from the Santa Clara/San Jose, CA areas. Our client's HQ is located in Santa Clara, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safeguard principals from all forms of security and safety hazards
  • Advance work: Conduct site surveys for events ranging from casual to Head of State level events; Coordinate logistics and plans all details relating to the physical location, including movements in, out, and around the site, while preparing for emergencies and other contingencies
  • Primary principal driver: Operate vehicle in a safe and comfortable manner; Prepare routes in advance, including alternate routes; Conduct vehicle checks for cleanliness, functionality, and fuel level
  • Follow driver: Follows principal vehicle and provides security coverage on the road; Identifies threats and intervenes along the route when appropriate; Renders aid in the event of accidents and other safety hazards
  • Close-in protection: Provide security coverage for principals, guests, and others in a professional and courteous manner while in compliance with policy, procedures, and principal preferences
  • Liaison: Coordinate with internal staff and department heads when providing common support during principal activities and events
  • Communications: Communicate appropriately with all principals and stakeholders; Writes reports and delivers oral and written briefings
  • Physical Security: Standing at a static post or a walking patrol; Providing escorts; Other responsibilities as assigned by the Sr. Director of Executive Protection
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: Routinely manage contract vendors
  • Budget Responsibilities: May be asked to provide insight or collect information for budget activities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 years of related security experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to work collectively and collaboratively
  • Ability to obtain a firearm permit for concealed carry and carry a firearm
  • Must obtain a guard card
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • This position requires the availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • May be asked to work with limited notice, based on client needs
  • This position requires up to 25-30% travel

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary range for this position is $150,000 - $150,000 per year.
