We are seeking a motivated and proactive Sales Account Manager to join our Public Sector Solutions team.

In this role, you will be responsible for generating new sales by prospecting, nurturing, and selling IT solutions to the Federal Government. You will build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within government agencies.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to target new federal government accounts while managing existing client relationships.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand customer requirements and identify opportunities for Connection's IT solutions.
  • Present compelling proposals that clearly articulate the value proposition of our products and services, tailoring your approach to each specific customer.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals effectively, ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
  • Maintain a consistent record of sales growth by actively prospecting for new business and expanding existing accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including technical experts and support staff, to ensure seamless delivery of solutions to our government clients.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of proven experience selling IT solutions to the Federal Government.
  • A deep understanding of the federal procurement process and key decision-makers within government agencies.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to cultivate long-term partnerships with clients.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • A results-oriented mindset with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
