Accounting Manager

Federal Realty Investment Trust is a leading real estate investment trust that owns and manages a portfolio of premium retail properties. We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise a team of accountants responsible for property accounting and financial reporting.
  • Oversee the month-end close process, including the review and posting of general ledger journal entries.
  • Manage various close processes, including monthly expense accruals and income accruals.
  • Prepare variance analyses on property financial statements and review with the property operations group.
  • Assist in the onboarding of new property acquisitions and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Oversee quarterly general ledger account reconciliations and manage sales and use tax filings.
  • Perform and coordinate various analyses and schedules to ensure accurate financial data.
  • Function as liaison with auditors for completion of financial statement and internal control audits.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA certification required.
  • 6+ years of commercial property accounting experience, with knowledge of retail properties a plus.
  • 2-3 years of management experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
