Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Sales Assistant to join our team at NIH Federal Credit Union. As a key member of our Wealth Management Program, you will be responsible for facilitating, developing, and fulfilling operational, servicing, and sales objectives.

This role requires a strong understanding of investment operations, procedures, transfers, and industry terminology. You will work closely with our Financial Advisors to provide exceptional client service, market our Wealth Management Program, and grow new business in the areas of investment and insurance products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support for the Wealth Management Program, including creating memos, managing calendars, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Schedule appointments with members and Financial Advisors, and assist with client servicing, including address changes, questions, and account updates.
  • Market the Wealth Management Program to Credit Union employees and members, and assist with seminar preparation, including assembling packets and coordinating mailings.
  • Grow and develop new business in the areas of investment and insurance products, working with current and new Credit Union members in conjunction with the Financial Advisor.
  • Meet regularly with the Financial Advisor to discuss pipeline opportunities and cross-sell Credit Union products and services.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Accounting, Business, or Finance, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of related business or functional experience, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Series 6, 63, and Life and Health Insurance Licenses preferred or willing to obtain.
  • Minimum one year of Credit Union and/or Bank experience required.

Travel: May require travel to on-site locations, branches, and offices as assigned by Management. Reliable transportation for travel is solely the responsibility of the employee.
