Job Summary

Laramie County Community College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty - Mathematics Instructor to join our team. As a Mathematics Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching assigned courses, developing curriculum, and assessing student learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching: Teach assigned classes as per course plan and schedule, meet required contact hours, and provide a current course plan for each course taught.
  • Curriculum Development: Maintain and adapt curriculum that is current, effective, and appropriate to course and program competencies.
  • Instructional Delivery: Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages student success, incorporate current subject matter expertise into instruction, and utilize varied learning activities to maximize student engagement and success.
  • Assessment of Student Learning and Continuous Improvement: Support student learning with timely and on-going feedback on progress and provide assistance towards meeting the course competencies.
  • Communication: Utilize LCCC email accounts to communicate with students, colleagues, and supervisors, and respond to students in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution in Mathematics, Math Education, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Chemistry, Computer Science, or a closely related field of study.
  • Experience: One year of experience working in an academic library or instructional setting, one year of teaching in higher education, one year of Information literacy instruction experience, or one year of experience supporting research and program development.
Working Conditions

The ability to comply with highly inflexible deadlines is required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. A variable work schedule may be required, including long workdays, evenings, and weekends as needed.
