MorganHCM is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Operations Director to lead our site maintenance activities at our Orange, Texas plant. As a key member of our site leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Maintenance Team: Oversee the maintenance team to ensure that preventative maintenance tasks, repairs, and installations of plant equipment and other physical assets are performed in a safe, cost-effective, and timely manner.
- Develop Maintenance Plans: Develop plans to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability, working closely with our corporate reliability group to determine the cause of failures and perform investigations and analyses of critical incidents.
- Implement Best Practices: Promote best practices such as Risk-Based Assessment, Total Productive Maintenance, and Reliability-Based Inspections to ensure that our maintenance operations are aligned with industry standards.
- Manage Contractors: Ensure that work performed by contractors meets Orion and industry standards, and work with procurement to source major, non-standard, or specialty parts.
- Manage Inventory: Ensure that inventory is managed effectively and that crucial parts are readily available.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably chemical or mechanical engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience: At least 10 years of experience in maintenance and/or reliability in an industrial environment, with a background in chemicals or refining.
- Supervisory Experience: At least five years of supervisory experience, including professional and skilled tradesmen.
- Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of at least one skilled maintenance trade, with expertise in SAP PM module and OSHA rules and regulations.
- Project Management: Project management experience is a plus.
