Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic Journeyman to join our team at TIC - The Industrial Company. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe, and reliable operation of our construction equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute preventive maintenance and repairs on all types of construction equipment in accordance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Inspect and document the condition of equipment, ensuring it is properly serviced and maintained.
  • Organize and maintain a library of reference materials, equipment files, and schedules.
  • Evaluate and implement certification schedules for equipment such as cranes and commercial vehicles.
  • Assist equipment operators in using the Daily Walkaround Report and generate accurate Equipment Locator reports.
  • Ensure the efficient, clean, and safe fueling and oiling of equipment.
  • Document equipment condition and maintenance activities using the Off-Hire Report.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent with previous experience in the field or a related area.
  • Strong working knowledge and skills for the position, including proficiency in electrical, hand tools, power tools, and layout tools.
  • Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions, and communicate effectively with management and supervision.
  • Able to meet all physical requirements, including climbing and working at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Must have all required tools and be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload.
