Job Description

The Maintenance Technician II is a key member of our team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our water/wastewater treatment facilities. This role involves inspecting, maintaining, and repairing various types of equipment to prolong their serviceable life.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Lead Maintenance Technician in performing various maintenance tasks, including cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment.
  • Clean and perform preventative maintenance on various equipment, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, blowers, and belt presses.
  • Prepare rigs for daily use and conduct routine equipment maintenance tests.
  • Perform vibration analysis and other non-destructive testing to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
  • Prepare pipes and fabricated supports, and perform maintenance requiring metal cutting, including welding, brazing, and soldering.
  • Maintain files and records of work orders and task completion, and ensure the shop area is clean and organized.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including working all shifts, including weekends, holidays, evening, and 24-hour emergency on-call.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of experience or equivalent training.
  • Valid Driver's License (Class B CDL preferred) and other licenses/certifications as required by the site and assignments.
  • Ability to follow manual and operating instructions, and basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and internet.
  • Working knowledge of all preventative and corrective maintenance activities associated with the operation of water/wastewater treatment facilities.
Physical Demands

The successful candidate must be able to frequently lift 50-60 pounds, load, unload, and move large equipment/tools, access confined spaces, and continuously walk and climb stairs and ladders.
