Position Overview:


Conduct comprehensive research on emerging technologies and applications that can enhance our competitive advantage, elevate customer satisfaction, or provide additional value through technological advancements.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess operational workflows and systems, identifying opportunities for technological enhancement.

Evaluate and report on the viability of system upgrades or new technology implementations by analyzing current system capabilities, user requirements, timelines, and resource availability, while considering market trends and our competitive standing.

Develop, propose, and execute a strategic vision for the evolution of our IT infrastructure, processes, standards, maintenance, documentation, and applications to optimize productivity and workflow.

Regularly communicate project updates, departmental achievements, and progress directly to senior management.

Key Responsibilities:


Assess business and operational functions to identify the necessary computer systems that will meet and enhance management information and operational needs.

Oversee the design, implementation, installation, and management of information systems for the organization.
Formulate, implement, and monitor policies and controls for management information systems to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
Achieve departmental financial goals by forecasting needs, preparing budgets, monitoring expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective measures.

Identify, research, and guide the adoption of new technologies and systems to streamline operations, boost productivity, and enhance customer interactions.

Evaluate and report on the feasibility of system enhancements or developments by examining existing capabilities, user needs, market trends, deadlines, and resource availability.

Create, propose, implement, and manage a strategic vision for the advancement of IT infrastructure, processes, standards, maintenance, and applications to enhance productivity.
Provide support to users in selecting, acquiring, utilizing, and maintaining software and hardware solutions.
Responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and managing IT expenditures.
Negotiate contracts with consultants, technical staff, and vendors for services and products.
Supervise daily operations of the IT department.
Stay informed about industry trends and regulations to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
Ensure the Disaster Recovery Plan is robust and that IT personnel and infrastructure can effectively execute it.
Develop and conduct user training as necessary.

Maintain a professional and positive relationship with all personnel and external partners.

Be prepared to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Actively engage in leadership development programs as required.
Must demonstrate strong verbal, written, and typing abilities.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

Ability to analyze potential challenges and determine appropriate solutions.
Proficient in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting complex IT systems.
Strong verbal, written, and typing skills are essential.
Quick to understand new concepts and apply logical reasoning to resolve complex issues.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
At least eight (8) years of experience in an enterprise IT environment.
Minimum of five (5) years in a managerial role.

Licensing & Certification:

Must possess at least one certification from each of the following categories (or equivalent experience):
One IT systems-related certification (e.g., MCP, MCSA, MCSE, MCDBA, VCP, Server+).
One IT security-related certification (e.g., CISSP, Security+).
One IT networking-related certification (e.g., CCNA, Network+).

Technical Proficiencies:
Highly skilled in Microsoft environments and applications.
Proficient in virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Citrix).
Expertise in enterprise networking architecture and technologies.
Familiarity with enterprise IP telephony and mail systems.
Proficient in SAN systems and backup management.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires the ability to hear, sit, stand, talk, walk, and see for a significant portion of the time.
The ability to drive is required for a portion of the time.

The role may involve bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching overhead, and other physical activities.

The position may require lifting and transferring weights ranging from 1-50 lbs.

Mental Demands:


Requires strong problem-solving skills, organizational abilities, planning, decision-making, data interpretation, reading, and writing capabilities.

Supervisory Responsibilities:


Involves hiring, promoting, compensating, training, disciplining, scheduling, assigning work, directing, evaluating performance, and budget planning for staff.

Work Environment:

This position operates within a professional office setting, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing systems.

Other Requirements:


Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain necessary licenses and certifications as required by regulatory authorities.

Candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening.
