Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement compliance programs to prevent, detect, and respond to violations of legal guidelines and internal policies.
- Provide guidance on compliance matters and ensure that all employees understand their roles and responsibilities in maintaining compliance.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to set compliance direction and develop strategies, policies, and action plans.
- Ensure that compliance issues and concerns within the organization are appropriately evaluated, investigated, and resolved.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in legislative or regulatory requirements and establish procedures to implement necessary changes.
- Advanced degree in healthcare administration or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in the healthcare field with a focus on program management, performance improvement, clinical risk management, compliance, regulations, auditing, and accreditation.
- Knowledge of ethics and compliance program elements, principles, and practices, privacy, security, internal controls, and audit functions.
- Knowledge of State and Federal laws and regulations that affect the provision of healthcare and healthcare organizations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and prioritize multiple projects and demands.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish positive collaborative working relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
This position requires frequent travel throughout the Albuquerque metropolitan area and occasional lifting and carrying related to office duties. The work environment is mostly inside an office in a controlled environment, with normal office safety precautions and practices required.
