About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager of Funded Pursuits to join our team at Raytheon Technologies. As a key member of our Advanced Structures team, you will be responsible for leading efforts to secure funding from government agencies and private organizations to support the development of cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with funding agencies, understanding their priorities and aligning our goals to foster mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with our business development, contracts, and military teams to ensure our funding strategies are aligned with overall business goals and contractual obligations.
  • Proposal Development: Lead the development of funding proposals that are technically sound and strategically aligned with the goals of funding agencies, ensuring all internal stakeholders are engaged and informed.
  • Technology Alignment: Collaborate with internal engineering teams to align our technology development plans with the requirements of various funding opportunities, ensuring that our proposals are both innovative and feasible.
  • Funding Strategy Execution: Create and implement a strategy to secure funding that maximizes our internal investments, accelerates technology development, and strengthens our competitive position in the industry.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and commitment to the funding pursuit process, enhancing our proposals' success rates.
Requirements
  • Relationship Management: Expertise in building and maintaining strategic relationships with funding agencies, business development teams, contracts organizations, military stakeholders, and government agencies.
  • Strategic Acumen: The ability to align our technology goals with the priorities of funding agencies and internal business strategies to create synergistic opportunities.
  • Proven Success: A track record of securing funding for complex, technology-driven projects, ideally within the aerospace or defense industries.
  • Strong Communication Skills: The ability to articulate complex technical concepts and strategic goals in a manner that resonates with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborative Leadership: The ability to work across various internal teams to ensure a unified approach to funding pursuits, driving successful outcomes.
