Property Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Property Manager to join our team at the Cesar Chavez Foundation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing residential real estate properties, ensuring that all aspects of property management are handled efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Discuss terms and conditions with clients for providing management services and draft agreements outlining the scope of management responsibilities, services to be performed, and costs.
- Prepare lease or rental agreements for lessees and collect specified rents and impounds.
- Direct bookkeeping functions, including crediting client accounts for receipts and debiting accounts for disbursements such as mortgage, taxes, and insurance premium payments.
- Arrange for alterations to, or maintenance, upkeep, or reconditioning of property as specified in management services or lessee's agreement.
- Purchase supplies and equipment for use on leased properties.
- Direct the preparation of financial statements and reports on the status of properties, including occupancy rates and dates of expiration of leases.
- Direct the issuance of checks for monies due to clients.
- Respond to emergency calls and situations as required.
- Assist with the eviction of tenants in compliance with court orders and directions from supervisors.
- Communicate and interact with residents individually or in groups as required.
The Property Manager will directly supervise two to four employees, carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. This includes interviewing, training, and evaluating employees, as well as planning, assigning, and directing work.
QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, the individual must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of YARDI is a plus, and LIHTC experience is preferred.
CompensationThe hourly wage for this position is $26.00-$28.00, depending on experience.
