Position Details:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the procurement of protein-based products from approved suppliers.
  • Work closely with Merchandisers to introduce new offerings.
  • Coordinate with Sales Representatives to implement best practices.
  • Foster high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in the national distribution of the Barn to Butcher brand.
  • Negotiate supplier pricing to enhance profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance documentation and internal audit requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers through effective communication.
  • Monitor costs related to transportation and storage to make informed decisions.
  • Respond promptly to customer and supplier inquiries, demonstrating urgency and problem-solving skills.
  • Report regularly to business leaders on opportunities and challenges.
  • Collaborate with management to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve margins.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge of commodity proteins.
  • A well-established network within the industry.
  • Experience in meat procurement.
  • 5-7 years of experience in procurement or sales (preferred).
  • Self-motivated in a competitive environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Experience in conflict resolution and consensus building.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
