Manufacturing Automation Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Automation Engineer to join our team at Design Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing SCADA and industrial control systems for a wide range of industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop SCADA systems, including databases and database interfaces, data handling and reporting, scripting, and general programming.
- Onsite startup of systems, ensuring seamless integration and operation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and develop/configure industrial control packages.
- Manage multiple scopes of work in various phases, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure project success.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in automation and control systems.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in system integration, SCADA/industrial control system development, preferably in the food and beverage or life science industries.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of management, clients, and vendors.
- Ability to mentor and train other engineers, with a willingness to travel for project requirements.
- Expertise in at least one SCADA platform, such as Ignition, Rockwell FactoryTalk, Aveva Wonderware System Platform, or GE.
- Familiarity with Rockwell PLC and strong SQL skills, with experience in MES software a plus.
