Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Culinary Chef to join our team at Archer Hotel Austin. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing, seasoning, and cooking menu and non-menu orders according to Lodgeworks specifications. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, ensuring the freshness and proper storage of food, and working closely with our chef and sales staff to service guests and events.
Responsibilities- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Lodgeworks standards.
- Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, and serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices.
- Ensure the freshness and proper storage of food.
- Set up, clear, and break down the workstation.
- Utilize a variety of kitchen equipment throughout each shift, following all safety procedures regarding the operation of equipment to avoid personal injury and/or damage to the equipment.
We are looking for a team player with a heart for hospitality, who is customer-focused, nimble, and able to adapt to change quickly. You must be an excellent communicator, comfortable following directions, guidelines, and work objectives. A food handling certificate is required, and you must be capable of exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally. Standing for an entire shift or for an extended amount of time is also required.
