Job Overview

Fibonacci Food is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in menu development, supervising kitchen staff, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning and development
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food preparation
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety standards
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and managing packaging
  • Prepare and plate food according to kitchen specifications
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to increase revenue and profit
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and standards
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a professional kitchen environment
  • Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Previous experience with menu development and planning
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • ServeSafe or Food Handlers Certification
