Key Responsibilities

As a Business Development Manager, you will secure leads, generate new revenue, mentor sales executives, and partner with the Chief Revenue Officer to establish relationships and connections in the market.

Key Functions:

  • Represent Get Fresh at Networking Events and Trade Shows
  • Prospect new customers and opportunities
  • Expand revenue opportunities within existing customers
  • Keep up-to-date knowledge of the competitive landscape
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of products
  • Coordinate with supply chain and produce development to ensure timely development of product and accurate order fulfillment
  • Solicit, evaluate, and advocate for customer product and feature requests to improve offerings and service
  • Deliver to the assigned revenue and margin objectives

Requirements

  • Must be able to speak and write fluently in English
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish is preferred
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills (high EQ)
  • Innovative and creative thinking (need fresh thinking)
  • Listening skills (listen first, then respond)
  • Influencing skills (proven ability to persuade others towards an idea or goal)
  • Negotiation skills (proven ability to seek and close the right deals)

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent plus related specialized coursework and at least 1 year of successful fresh produce wholesale or retail sales or related management experience
  • Proficient skills in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), and common e-mail systems
Compensation and Benefits

Compensation: $65,000 /Year + Commission Program
