Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a business plan to capture and penetrate market share within our division's footprint.
  • Responsible for producing new account revenue in line with current organization and individual targets and quotas.
  • Utilize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to focus on opening new accounts, sales dollars, and gross profit dollars.
  • Sourcing, pursuing, securing, and developing new business opportunities to achieve annual sales and profit operating plans.
  • Researching customer requirements, analyzing market trends, and sharing information with customers to provide value-added services.
  • Working with Category and Segment Specialists to create order guides and pricing for prospective accounts.
  • Maintaining full understanding of company IT tools and utilizing Company-approved data base for lead generation.
  • Selective involvement in the SOS process for at-risk accounts.
  • Visiting customers, understanding concerns, and changing offerings and pricing as required.
  • Maintaining ongoing relationships with key decision makers and leveraging industry contacts.
  • Attending sales meetings, food shows, and vendor events to network with prospective accounts.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years sales experience required, with a minimum of 3 years of experience opening accounts greater than $0.5m.
  • Exceptional sales and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to warm, convert, and close high-potential new street accounts.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Able to present in front of large groups of people utilizing creative presentation skills.
  • Highly motivated, results-driven, and able to work autonomously.
  • Detail-oriented, with ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
