Position Summary:

The Revenue Operations Analyst is an integral member of the Retail Billing Operations team, concentrating on the efficient processing, quality control, and punctuality of customer transactions, account management, and monthly invoicing. This role requires a driven individual with strong analytical, process management, quantitative, and technical skills to enhance overall customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the electricity and gas service lifecycles from contract initiation through to fulfillment and final account processing.
  • Utilize internal Customer Management Systems effectively.
  • Handle daily operational tasks related to the exchange of electronic transactions between the organization and its vendors/utilities.
  • Address transaction and billing discrepancies within established service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Convert work into various formats, such as Excel, for analytical purposes.
  • Identify compliance issues using reporting methods to ensure adherence to internal and external SLAs regarding transaction and billing accuracy and timeliness.
  • Resolve issues promptly or escalate as necessary.
  • Employ root-cause analysis to determine solutions for exceptions, errors, and process deficiencies.
  • Leverage software, analytical tools, and retail energy market knowledge to investigate and analyze complex business challenges.
  • Assist in the execution and implementation of new business and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for inquiries related to transactions and billing.
  • Create detailed process documentation for training and reference purposes as needed.
  • Provide training for internal and interdepartmental staff as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced office setting with a high volume of work.
  • Regular use of computers, including typing and monitor viewing.
  • Evening and weekend work may be necessary based on job responsibilities.
  • Hybrid work schedule: 3-4 days in the office, 1-2 days remote.
  • Minimal travel may be required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of experience in Operations or Back Office roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College degree in business or a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the deregulated energy market is preferred.
  • Previous experience in the energy or utility sector is preferred.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint, Power BI, and SQL Server Management Studio.
