Job Overview

Reports to: Players Club & Promotions Manager

Position Summary:

The Marketing Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting the Marketing Leadership team by managing, developing, and overseeing comprehensive marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all relevant Tribal, Federal, and gaming regulations, as well as Kickapoo Lucky Eagle policies.
  • Uphold exceptional standards of guest service by actively addressing and resolving inquiries from guests and team members.
  • Coordinate promotional activities and exclusive events.
  • Maintain effective communication with vendors and various casino departments, including external marketing agencies.
  • Oversee advertising for promotions and events in collaboration with contracted marketing firms.
  • Represent the casino at industry events, trade shows, and conventions.
  • Manage all logistical aspects of promotions and event execution.
  • Ensure all promotions receive necessary approvals from the gaming commission.
  • Verify the functionality of the PA system prior to any event or promotion.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative event presentations and special promotions for management consideration.
  • Oversee all casino signage in partnership with marketing agencies and the Marketing Specialist (Media).
  • Exemplify and promote the core values and skills of KLECH.
  • Safeguard confidential information entrusted to this role.
  • Complete all required training and development programs.
  • Monitor compliance with Federal currency transaction reporting requirements and maintain accurate records as necessary.

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of guest service experience in a dynamic casino environment is required.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in a guest-facing marketing role is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field is preferred.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are essential; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is a plus.

Additional Criteria:

Preference is given to qualified members of the Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas and other qualified Native American candidates.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, and bend for extended periods.
  • Must be able to focus for prolonged periods.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  • Effective communication skills are necessary, both in person and via telecommunications.
  • Must possess the dexterity to operate various office equipment.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.

Work Environment:

  • Typical office setting and casino floor.
  • Frequent walking and standing in a smoke-filled environment with regular public interaction.
  • Temperature-controlled environment with varying noise levels; exposure to high noise levels may occur.
  • Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to perform under pressure and manage long hours in stressful conditions.
  • May encounter challenging situations with difficult guests and staff.
  • Exposure to various lighting conditions, including artificial and flashing lights.
  • Travel may be necessary to fulfill essential job functions.

Employment Conditions:

Must be able to obtain and maintain a KTTT Gaming Commission License, including a successful background check. Responsible for keeping all documentation current and valid.

  • Reliable transportation for commuting is required.
  • Must comply with internal policies and gaming regulations.
